Heaven is not what humans make it out to be. Angels are greedy with power and selfish who would backstab each other to stay in faith with Father. That was not the path she wanted to follow. Humanity needed help and no one was going to do anything about it. She could not help but rebel against them and leave the safety of the Golden Gated Heaven. Star passed her as she flew down from the heavens to the earth below here. This was her time to prove to heaven that humans are worth saving. Even if they are not what they seem, she has been watching them. They needed some hope, and she will give them that hope.

She spread her turning grey wings with much ease she flew down from the night sky. The moon was very beautiful which she stopped to look at the blood red full moon that cast little light onto the ground. The trees looked dead as leaves had long since left the trees in the area. She kept flying down until she reaches just hovering a few inches from the grounds near the church. Her eyes scanned the ground as she was trying to get used to being on Earth with her being in Heaven for most of her angelic life.

"We smell you, Angel."

Mercy freezes and tries to pull her gun out but was knocked out of her hand by a demonic creature as it tried to take a bite from her. She back up as much as she could away from the things that now surrounded her with bloody thirsty looks. The only thing she could think of was too wrapped her wings around her as a way to protect herself from the beasts around her. She felt her grey wing swish around her as a protective border from the monsters. It was until she felt pain run throw her wing did she let out a scream.

"AHHHHHHH!"

One of the demons had started to bite her wing and tear it slowly down as blood dripped until a snapped, and it had to remove half her wings as the bones snap. Blood poured down her grey wings as it spilt onto the ground below her covering it in red. She could see blood surrounding the mouth of the creatures as they come closer and closer to her. Her eyes went to her pistol that was now on the floor. She knew she could not make it in time as she winces as she felt one of them went for her other wing. She tried to pull her other wing away from the demonic creatures.

"NO, STOP PLEASE!"

The angel manages to escape the grasp of her wing away from the creature and kicked it down with her boots. It did not help that another creature would take it place. As fast as she could, she went for her pistol and dodge any arms that came at her from the sides. Her hands manage to grabbed she begin to shoot her holy weapon at any that came too close to her. There was too many for her to kill all at once. Her bullets were a problem as she did not grab as much holy bullet because regular angel could summon bullets for their pistol. It was a stupid mistake for her as she not a regular angel anymore.

"Oh yes, fight yes. Your meat tastes sweeter with the desperation you display."

Mercy notices her gun click with the sound of empty which she froze as she knew that she had screwed up way worse. She needed to at least get some of them off her and make a run for it. She kicks as many down as possible and jumped over any as the angel had higher endurance. She took the chance she had for the opening and ran as fast as she could with the creature follow her.

"The church."

She was solely cut off just a few feet from the one the demon jumping in front of her. The angel had dodge as it tried to grab her. Fear had taken over the angel as her eyes glow the white as she would use as much power as she could if she needed.

"Think you can escape from us an angel."

With her wing damage, she was lower in her ability and all she could probably do was heal any minor wounds they gave her. But even then, she is too exhausted in this more human form, and the only thing she could think of was to become a bright light and hopefully, someone will see it.

"Better than to see your ugly face."

The demon was taken back a little from her attitude which was not a normal thing for a non-fallen angel to be this harsh. It was her trying buy time as she pulled her hands behind her and started to glow as she knew her only way was to atleast become a beacon for someone to see her.

"Since you are ugly, I just have to show you something pretty. To balance it out."

Her left hand go to the air and causes a bright light to shoot from her hand, which was a thing angel did to signal one another when far away. Now all she had to do was survive and hopefully someone had seen the beacon and help. But, she knew most human were probably hiding away. It was a deathwish as she may cause more creatures to come here.

"Please someone help."

The Priest is chanting prayers after prayers with a hoarse, tone deaf voice as he crushes the skull of what seems to be a man with his left elbow. The man's head is smashed like a watermelon against the cold floor and there's blood pooling at the Priest's feets. He does not react to the blood dirtying his shoes, obviously used to worst. He searches the inside of his jacket with his white gloves covered in prayers and pulls out two blades from it. He swirls them from the tip of his fingers before throwing one of them behind his back without looking. There's a disturbing sound that echoes before he throws the other to his right, still without looking. Another troubling sound but this time followed by a faint screech. He chuckles as he hears the screeching sound from his right. He turns fully towards the direction and stares at the creature wheezing on the floor, his blade stuck painfully in its throat. It tries to pull the blade out, but every time it touches it, its skin starts to burns. It starts whimpering in pain and when it notices that the Priest is slowly coming towards it, it tries to get up to flee but it's too late. Mathias's foot stomps on its leg, immobilizing it completely and it starts screaming, agony in its voice. The Priest only laugh in answer to its suffering and stomps on the same leg again. The thing tries to attack him with its long bloody claws but the Priest catches the hand with his and tears the whole arm off in punishment. There's a long agonizing wail and Mathias snicker before throwing the arm away. Before it tries to regenerate, Mathias pulls out his blade from its throat in a swift movement. The vampire immediately tries to get out of its shell, to avoid dying, but before they even think about doing so, the Priest cut their neck neatly, in a clean cut. The head falls next to the rest of its body and a fountain of blood spill from its neck, spraying Mathias completely in it. He still doesn't seem to mind being drenched in the putrid liquid, heck he was smiling since the massacre began.

His smile leaves his lips as he walks away from the woman's corpse to comes back to the target he successfully eliminated from behind. He pulls out the second blade from the vampire's head. He put them both inside his coat once again and raise his head to look at the ugly moon in the night sky. There are no stars tonight, he thinks morosely. He's about to turn his attention elsewhere, to walk further in town so he can continue hunting those wretched monsters, when he sees a shadow in the sky. He cannot recognize what it is from this far away, but there's no mistake to where it's flying to; The Church. He frowns, his teeth firmly pressed together.

''You wretched thing, your punishment will serve as an example for those trying to get near Our Sacred Grounds.''

He starts walking towards the Church, his glasses reflecting the angry color of the moon.

__________________

When he arrives at the Church, he's temporarily blinded by a strong light. It's very bright, like the sun, and take away his eyes for a short time. He hears the sound of a growl and he doesn't need to see to know what made this sound; A demon.

Before he even has his sight back, he pulls from his jacket a stink bomb that he throws where he heard the growl. There's a hiss and he knows he hit the beast. He grins fully, white teeth perfectly lined up. His sight comes back to him after few seconds and he walks toward the demon, certain that it's the thing he saw flying in the night sky and ready to hunt it down. However, the moment he gets closer, he sees the demon yes, rolling on the floor covering what it seems to be its nose from the stink, but his gaze also stumble on the winged lady. He recognizes what she is the minute his turquoise eyes gaze upon her dirty wings. He tumbles towards her, not unlike a drunken man, and kneels right in front of her. His eyes are wide open and tears start falling off them. He joins his bloody hands together in a silent prayer, speaking through his chant to their Holy Father;

''I had Faith that one day Our Holy Father would send one of His Guardians to help me in my Sacred mission. Ô pure being, I thank thee-''

His eyes open as he begins to recite his thanks to her and that's exactly when he notices for the first time that she's badly hurt. His joined hands break their prayer and start hovering over her, mimicking what surely a worried father would do. He does seem to hesitate to touch her, however, unsure if his touch will taint her purity or not.

''Oh Lord, what in Heavens-''

He's startled by multiple roars resonating from behind his back. He's also surprised that he's only now noticing a thick amount of saliva dropping on his right shoulder. He raises his head and stares at the demon hovering over them, its three red eyes peering right through him to focus on the Angel. The Demon is not alone, however; There are at least three others that he can see from where he's kneeling. He can't believe he missed that much enemies on his arrival.

''Puny human, you are disturbing our lunch.''

The Priest bites his tongue harshly, drawing blood that drips from his lips. His left hand seeks something inside his coat. Another demon comes hovering over them, somewhat looking like a crow and perching itself on the Demon salivating on his right shoulder. The second demon smell the air before declaring through its beak;

''I smell Holy Water on this human.''

Before the other demons can answer him, a fog of smoke cover both the human and the Angel, hiding them completely from the demons that are now starting to get worried.

''Ô my Lord, Heal our wounds! AMEN''

Mercy can feel her wing start to heal slowly, not enough to completely repair it, but enough to numb it from the pain. She can see the human standing in front of her, through the thick smoke, because of how close they are from each other. The smile on the Priest's lips is nothing of a saint. It's grotesque. Mercy can see the Priest pulls something from his coat but before she can see what it is, he disappears in the fog, like a ghost.

Mathias charges immediately at the demons closer to them. He pours a generous amount of Holy Water on both of them before stabbing them with both blades, one firmly stuck between his teeth as one of his hand is holding the other blade and the other holding the bottle of holy water. He dodges the attack of the dog-like demon that salivated on his shoulder earlier and cut down his neck efficiently. The crow is even easier and dies rather quickly.

Unfortunately, Mathias can hear the sound of multiple Demons coming nearby, their wretching roars getting closer and closer to the Church. He detonates another smoke bomb before the effects of the first dissipate and come back next to the Angel. Mathias kneels back in front of her, but this time, it's his back that's facing her.

''Your Holiness, I cannot protect you from this amount of Demons. We need to get you out of there.''

Mathias is covered in blood but his back is relatively clean.

The Rebellious Angel Resim21

Mercy had noticed that the demon who was before her had fallen covering it nose from something. She spotted a grinning man who looked to be surprised to see her. Blood covered him a man had looked at her wings which she winces a little at the pain still running through them. They were now completely light grey with red splotches of blood that was still dripping down the rip off her wings. She notices he had tumbled toward her with tears covering his face. But, she could tell that he was a priest with ease she felt more relax near the holy man. He had put his hands together for a prayer to God which she smiled at to know that some people still believe in father.

''I had Faith that one day Our Holy Father would send one of His Guardians to help me in my Sacred mission. Ô pure being, I thank thee-''

She had never been pray before by a priest, and she felt confusion wash over her face when he had stopped praying. His eyes were open as strong blue meet his turquoise eyes. He must have noticed her half ripped off wing as he was a focus on it. He hovers his hand over her which she watches him with her face trying to mask the immense pain she was feeling. It was her slow healing powers that were keeping her from screaming and wiggling on the floor in pain. Her wing had stopped bleeding at this point, but the bones were still able to be seen from where the winged was half ripped off from. She takes notice that he did not want to touch her. She freezes though when she notices a demon was closed by from her angelic senses kicking in.

''Oh Lord, what in Heavens-''

A shiver ran down her spine as she heard the multiple screams of demons. She finally can see the demon above them. There were a few others near by as well. They lick their lips on the sight of the holy being. She lightly trembles from the loss of blood and the fear of being eaten by the horrendous creatures. Her hands gripped her pistol tightly as it was still in her hands. There were no bullets, but she was not afraid to hit demons with it being a holy item itself. It can still cause some pain from it touch at least.

'Puny human, you are disturbing our lunch.''

A huff escaped her mouth as she was a little agitated that she could feel the putrid smell of the demon filling her nose. She was tempted to through her gun at the demon. She did not do it as she was still pretty injured and felt it would only piss it off more. It would also be a bad thing to do in front of someone who saw her as a holy being. She moves her bad wing closer to herself as she checks over the wounds.

''I smell Holy Water on this human.''
Before the demons could do anything, a foggy smoke had covered the priest and herself. Her eyes closed as she let the smoke blanket her. She was glad that the demons could not see them. It felt safe for the moment and that all she needed for just a moment.

''Ô my Lord, Heal our wounds! AMEN"

Mercy eyes opened as she felt her wings started to numb from the pain as it helps heal it more enough that it was no longer as painful. She knew later she needed to thank the man for healing her. Her eyes adjusted to notice that the priest was standing in front of her. His smile did not look of that of a nice man which made her worried a little. She wanted to sit something that did not happen as the priest had pulled something from his coat and disappear into the fog.

Wait.

She did not move from her spot for she was too scared to leave the smoke. There was screaming of demons as they were being slaughtered from the priest. The smoke around her was clearing up. She could see the dead bodies of the demons on the ground. The weapons the priest was holding was drench in the blood of the demons.

More demons could be heard heading their way. The priest had donated another smoke bomb that covered them once more. He was on his hands and knees before her with his back turned to her. She was watching him with concern eyes as she moves her hand from her side to reach out to him.

''Your Holiness, I cannot protect you from this amount of Demons. We need to get you out of there.''

She had put her soft hand on his shoulder. Her body hum with a soft as and warmth that was like a mother love to their offspring. Her strong eyes were closed as she let her light shine from her body. Her eyes once open again to it glowing pure white.

"Thank you for protecting me."

Her voice was soft as she thinks of a way to help them escape. She could teleport them but that requires a lot of energy, and she was very low after losing half her magic. It was a good change as she could confuse the demon for just the right time for them to escape in a better way.

A white light engulfs her as she opens her wings as they shine a little from her active of her powers. She put her small delicate soft hand onto the shoulders of the priest before her.  A whisper echo from her mouth as she tried to hold back her powers.

"Close your eyes. I am going to teleport us."

When she knew his eyes were closed, her one wing wrapped around him as she angles herself in the right way, so he was covered by the bright lights. This was going be a little rough landing with the lack of power to keep it safe. The light engulfs around them, and the area begins to shift around. It finally clears up as she teleported them a few miles from the church. It was far enough they the creatures will not be able to smell her and safe enough to make an easier escape.

"You can open your eyes now."

Her wings retreated away from her as the light around her disappear back into her body. Light still was over her body as she closes her eyes for a brief second to feel her powers draining.

"We are safe for now."

She had let go of the man shoulder before collapsing on the ground from exhaustion. She had not passed out, but she could see that her eyes were blurry and the body was trembling.

The holy being was easier to see in from little light she still has off. She had long tangle wavy brown hair that was now covering her strong blue eyes. She was the pale peach color with rose pink cheeks and lips. Freckle dance a cross her pale face. She wore a simple white top now red with her blood, and a pair of black jeans and brown boots. She looked in her mid-20s, but angels were older than they looked. A gun was cuddle to her. The angel gun knows as Artemis which was given to angel gun given to angel with strong willed and kind hearts.

Behind her, her wings seem to do better than before as it had no longer drench in blood. Her wing still looked to be covered in dried blood. Her wings were pulled close to her body. They were light grey like many of the angels who had left heaven or left behind by heaven. They moved everything she took a breath as she was too tired from all the events that had to happen to her.

The Rebellious Angel Tumblr_ntn22qtefp1rkpprao1_500

"Thank you for protecting me."

His eyes widen at her gratitude and his shoulders jump in surprise as he feels a hand on his shoulder. He feels the warmth of her palm on his skin, despite his thick coat, and he cannot fathom a moment in his life where he felt this happy. Mathias feels the tears coming out again so he resolutely doesn't turn his head towards the pretty angel, to avoid causing her to worry about him. He wipes the tears with his fingers, dirtying his face with bloody fingerprints. He feels truly blessed at this moment, despite the whole situation. Mathias feels so glad that he's alive. It's surely a sign of the Lord. He sniffles, his head still not turning towards the Angel as the Priest is not done yet controlling his emotions.

''You do not need to thank me, it is what I was born for. Serving the Lord and his Children.''

He grabs his tools of punishment from his coat when he realizes that there's no time to spare anymore, the thick smoke seeming to have faded by now. Or at least, enough for the Priest to be able to distinguish the heads and tails of the demons surrounding them. However, before the creatures could do anything, a bright light arise from behind Mathias, surprising both the creatures and the human. Mathias turns his head back to the Angel and his puffy eyes half-closes momentarily when he's blinded once again by a bright light. However, contrary to earlier, it doesn't blind him completely and he still can see the Angel in front of him. His heart beat faster at the sight of her wings opening, surrounding themselves in the light. The Angel is cast in a halo of light and Mathias is sure that he never saw something that beautiful in his life.

"Close your eyes. I am going to teleport us."

There's a shameful voice in the back of his head that whispers to him that even the threat of blindness shouldn't keep him from staring at the Angel using her divine powers. However, he obeys her and closes his eyes diligently, his respect for her stronger than the sinful whisper in his mind. Mathias feels one of the Angel's wing wrapping itself around him, like a soft caress. He feels a shiver running along his spine but keep his eyes closed. Despite not looking, his body senses the shifting in the air and he feels nauseous, like transport sick. His hand blindly rest upon his lips, in a way to prevent any nausea to grow worse.

"You can open your eyes now."

He opens them gratefully and looks around. He recognizes this area, it's fairly far from the Church, enough probably to avoid them to ambush them again.

"We are safe for now."

The moment she let go of his shoulder, she collapses on the ground from exhaustion. It worries the Priest who immediately fishes for something inside his coat. He pulls out a thick book with a cross engraved on the cover made of solid leather. He opens it with a thumb and turns the pages quickly. When he arrives at the passage he was searching for, he recites it like a madman, his glasses reflecting the fallen form of the Angel on the ground.
A pentagram appears under Mercy, shining dimly with a green hue. When it's done, the light disappears while the book closes itself without the Priest's help. He puts it back inside his coat and sighs softly, scratching his chin.

''It should help the recovery of her life energy.''

He looks at her unconscious form, laying against the cold hard stone that shapes the roads of Elm Town. He grinds his teeth together and looks unsure of what to do, his glasses hiding the way his green eyes shine with worry. He cannot let her sleep there, it's unbecoming of such a divine creature. She deserves better than the cold hard floor. At the same time, however, he wonders if he should move her, as there must be still Demons searching for them and moving could attract them or lead him to them. Would it be better to stay put until the sun comes out or to move to a better location for her to rest comfortably until she recover?

He chooses the second option reluctantly and with very careful movements, he lifts her up in his arms. It's awkward because she's out cold and he's trying his best to avoid knocking the wings. He hangs onto her tight and let her head rest on his forearm. His eyes fall on her beautiful face. The Angel has thick lashes and a very pale skin where freckles are easily standing out. He wonders if her skin bruises easily as his stare loses itself on her neck. He shakes his thought forcefully out of his mind but his eyes are not finished admiring her beauty. Her hair is falling gracefully along his arm, in a wave of locks. He feels like it's a shame he's wearing a coat as he cannot feels it against his naked skin. He also wishes for a second to bury his nose in her hair to smells it, he's sure it would feel heavenly.

He snaps out of his perverse thoughts for good and the disgust he feels towards himself causes his nausea to come back. He starts walking, prayers falling from his mouth in whispers as he begs the Lord to forgive him for his sinful thoughts.
